The name
Foundery splits into Founder, the constant, plus y, the variable.
Every founder knows what it feels like when an idea becomes more than an idea, when it becomes the answer to “what do you do?”, the reason for the late nights, and the future they have promised themselves. Then, if the business stops working, walking away can feel like walking away from who they are.
Founder + y begins at that moment, with a simple belief: you are more than the thing you are building. You are the founder, carrying the judgment you have earned, the courage to begin and the ability to make things happen.
y is the business you pour yourself into, but it must earn its place through customers, revenue and the ability to sustain itself. The plus sign is A Foundery: the people, capital and execution support beside you, so that changing direction does not mean starting again alone.
We ask you to commit fully, listen honestly to what the business is telling you, and trust that letting go of an idea does not erase what it took to build it. Your experience, your relationships and everything you have learned go with you into what comes next.
