Two funds. Both independent.
The Seed Fund and Astir Ventures invest in early companies. They are separate firms with their own websites, their own terms and their own decisions. This page tells you who they are and where to find them.

The Seed Fund
Backs early companies at the point where the idea has met a real customer but the round is still small enough that most institutional investors will not take the meeting.

Astir Ventures
Invests in companies that have found a repeatable way to sell and are ready to put capital behind it.
astir.vcWhat this page is not
Worth saying plainly, because these arrangements are usually left vague.
They are separate entities
The Seed Fund and Astir Ventures are legally separate from A Foundery. Investing is done by those firms in their own capacity, under their own terms, with their own process.
A Foundery does not decide
Going through the venture studio or Forge does not commit either fund to anything. They evaluate companies on their own merits and reach their own conclusions.
No fee, either direction
A Foundery does not take a fee for making an introduction and does not receive one if a fund invests.
If you came here to raise
Approach the funds directly through their own websites. If what you actually want is help getting the company to the point where raising makes sense, that is Forge.
