Apply to The Forge

The Forge is for founders building their own company. We would rather have the honest version of your business than the polished one.

Cost
No fee, now or later. The Forge takes equity and only equity, so we are paid when you are.
Timing
No deadline and no cohort calendar. Applications are read as they arrive.
Eligibility
An idea you have tested on real people, or a company already trading. No revenue minimum, no incorporation required, and no US work authorization requirement.

An answer either way
If it looks like a fit we come back to arrange a first conversation about the business and its numbers. If it is not a fit right now, we say so plainly rather than leave you waiting.

Nothing you send is shared outside A Foundery.

A valid LinkedIn URL is mandatory. Your LinkedIn profile is the only way we review your application. Without a valid LinkedIn URL, your application will not move to the next step.
How to find your LinkedIn URL:
  1. Click "Find My LinkedIn URL" above. This opens your profile in a new tab
  2. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar (it looks like linkedin.com/in/yourname)
  3. Come back here and paste it in the field above
Optional. Forge has no US work authorization requirement, because the company you are building is your own. Answer it only if it helps us understand where you are based.
We strongly recommend working on your company full-time. The founders who get the most out of Forge give it their full attention. Work can be remote or in person at our Princeton, NJ Venture Studio.
